Desalination & Demineralization

Mangroves in nature desalinate to grow and survive the seawater surrounding them.  Reverse Osmosis was used in the last 40 years to desalinate brackish and seawater, speeding up the development of many coastal cities! IDWT was the 1st company to desalinate using this technic in Egypt, in 1985 and has built more than in 75 Desalination Projects in MENA Region.

In 2008 we introduced the 1st Deminierlization plant using Continuous Electro-deionization (CEDI) systems after reverse osmosis in order to reduce the salinity below 0,2 microsiemens. This technology uses less chemicals, and none hazards handling unlike conventional technologies. IDWT introduced standardized containerized packges in North Africa & Middle East.
